Tellurium in Organic Synthesis, IX [15] Oxidation of Some Nitrogenous Compounds with Te02

چکیده
The reaction between bis(p-methoxyphenyl)telluroxide and various substituted phenylhydrazines has recently been reported [1]. In this reaction the phenylhydrazines are converted to the corresponding hydrocarbons and nitrogen, also producing bis(p-methoxyphenyl)telluride and an unsymmetrical telluride, resulting form aryl exchange. As a part of our investigation of the reactions of tellurium dioxide, Te02, with various organic substrates [2, 3], we have now studied the reactions between some nitrogenous compounds and Te02 in acetic acid solution containing lithium chloride or lithium bromide.
